Join the 2017 Stuff the Bus Campaign!

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Pinellas Education Foundation and the Pinellas County Council PTA are proud to announce that the 2017 Stuff the Bus Campaign will kick off on Friday, July 21 with the first two of three school supply drives. The drives will be held in St. Petersburg at Carillon Park (near Publix) from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and in Largo at Largo Mall (near Target) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. School supplies collected at these locations will be given to schools in Pinellas for their students in need. The Foundation is proud to partner with Fox 13 this year as we work to help students start the year off right across the Tampa Bay area.

The last supply drive and chance to drop off school supplies will be Monday, August 7, at City Hall in St. Petersburg from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Approximately 13% of families in Pinellas County are at poverty level and more than 3,000 childrenare homeless in Pinellas County. The Pinellas Education Foundation, the Pinellas County Council of PTAs, St. Pete’s Promise, and many businesses within Carillon Park and the community have joined together in an effort to collect donations for those students in need.

 

You can drop off supplies at the following locations:

Carillon Park (next to Publix): Friday, July 21, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Largo Mall (next to Target): Friday, July 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

St. Petersburg City Hall: Monday, August 7, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All school supplies are accepted including:

·         Scissors

·         Ballpoint Pens

·         Water-based Markers

·         Rulers

·         No. 2 pencils

·         Backpacks

·         Spiral Notebooks

 

 

·         Glue Sticks

·         Erasers

·         Three-ring Binders

·         Index Cards

·         Notebook Paper

·         Pencil Sharpeners

·         Pocket Folders
