
BRADENTON, Fla. — Orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Dr. Arthur Valadie from the full-service practice Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management is the official sports medicine provider for the athletes at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School, a private, independent, co-educational, college preparatory school in Bradenton, Fla.
Dr. Valadie, the physician president of Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management, can typically be found at youth athletic events, treating injuries and providing countless hours of support. He works with club travel teams and also serves as the sports medicine physician to the Pittsburgh Pirates, U.S. Soccer national teams, IMG Academy, Premier Sports Campus and State College of Florida.

The Saint Stephen’s Falcons have won 17 state championships and 101 district and regional titles since 2000, with 53 teams competing in 14 different sports. The school has had 14 All-American players in football, soccer, tennis, golf, swimming and lacrosse.
Dr. Valadie, along with Dr. Daniel Lamar and Dr. Steven Schafer, works with high school teams throughout the area, including Bayshore High School, Braden River High School, Bradenton Christian High School, Cardinal Mooney High School, Manatee High School, Palmetto High School and Southeast High School.
Dr. Valadie recently received the Adult Volunteer Award from the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s fifth annual Champions of Healthcare for his contributions to the area’s well being and making an impact on the healthcare through service and a commitment to excellence.

Dr. Arthur Valadie is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy and knee and shoulder reconstruction. He attended medical school at the University of Florida. Dr. Valadie completed his residency at Emory University and then a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, Calif.
