Manasota SCORE Elects Leadership Team for Next Chapter Year

July 11, 2017 by Post

(SARASOTA, Fla., July 11, 2017) Dennis Zink was re-elected to serve another term as Manasota SCORE’s Chapter Chair. William (Bill) Murray was elected to the Vice Chair position. Bob Bertelsbeck was re-elected to serve as Treasurer, and Patricia Loftus was elected to serve as Secretary while retaining her position as Marketing Team Lead.

Under Zink’s leadership, Manasota SCORE has won District Chapter of The Year for three consecutive years, and this year it received National Chapter of The Year for Mid-Size Markets.

“It has been my goal from the beginning to lead the Manasota SCORE chapter to become best in class, Zink said. “I think one of the reasons that we won the big prize this year was due to our success in helping dozens of other chapters get better by making our podcast series, Been There, Done That with Dennis Zink, and the Herald-Tribune Business SCORE Card columns available to tens of thousands of clients throughout the United States.”

This year, the chapter focused on four things: 1. Attract the best talent in the area and increase the team to over 80 talented, successful mentors. 2. Focus on creating the largest impact possible in Sarasota and Manatee counties by helping small businesses get started and guiding in-business clients to become more successful. 3. Energize mentors and engage clients with state-of-the-art free educational programs, such as round-tables, workshops, seminars, Meetups and one-to-one mentoring in both traditional and internet-based educational strategies. 4. Partner with local chambers, county governments, library systems, banks and other impactful groups to expand the chapter’s reach into the community.
