Sarasota cleaning company recognized for commitment to employee well-being
SARASOTA, FL – Crystal Clean Green Cleaning has been named a Gold Level Healthy Sarasota County Worksite by the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County (DOH-Sarasota). The cleaning company joins eleven worksites in Sarasota County awarded with a designation after a comprehensive review of programs and environmental supports to improve employee health and well-being.

The Healthy Sarasota County Worksite program, administered through DOH-Sarasota, designates employers who implement specific health promotion activities endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These activities are evidenced-based and proven to improve the health and well-being of employees. Areas addressed include nutrition, physical activity, weight management, tobacco control, stress management, diabetes, vaccine preventable disease prevention, and breastfeeding support among others.
The designation levels, Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze recognize new or existing efforts to improve employee health based on total points earned.
Health officials say Crystal Clean Green Cleaning’s application is a great example of how a small business can implement initiatives to directly improve their employees’ health. Worksite wellness is an important aspect of promoting a safe, healthy community. People often spend more time at work than at home.
