St. Petersburg, Fla. (June 20, 2017) – The St. Petersburg Library System, in partnership with SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) and the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc., will host a free workshop for those who are eligible for Medicare and enrolling for the first time. SHINE will present “New to Medicare” at the St. Petersburg Main Library, 3745 Ninth Avenue North on Saturday, July 8, at 11 a.m.
Participants will learn about health care and prescription drug plan options for Medicare beneficiaries, and what state and federal programs are available to assist low income beneficiaries with Medicare costs. Please pre-register by calling 727-893-7724.
SHINE also offers one-on-one appointments at Main Library on the first and third Tuesday of every month. The SHINE counselor can answer your Medicare questions, help you enroll in Medicare Savings Programs, and help you determine which Medicare Prescription Drug Plan best fits your needs.
