
Jones Sign, a national sign and specialty fabrication contractor, is investing in their Southeast operations.
The company recently announced the opening of a regional office in Tampa. The location will house sales, estimating, project management, design, and installation operations. Successful recent major projects in the area confirmed the time was right to make the investment. Recent projects in the market include Hard Rock Stadium (home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins), Daytona Speedway, and numerous retail locations.
Jones Sign Executive VP Todd Patrickus says the company will endeavor to will serve the sign needs of hospitality, retail, large venue, and regional chain markets. The office is led by Jimmy McDonald, Regional Sales Manager, with 29 years of sign industry experience.
Jones Sign was founded in 1910 in a storefront in downtown Green Bay, WI. The company has experienced steady growth since being purchased in 1982. With the addition of the Tampa office, Jones now has ten locations in North America. Five of those locations include manufacturing facilities. This allows Jones to fulfill 100% of project scope in-house, from design and permitting to fabrication and installation.
Jones worked in Florida prior to undertaking recent projects and opening the Tampa office. Notably, it fabricated and installed the signage and canopies at International Plaza and Bay Street. This project in 2001 was the first of hundreds for Jones Sign in the Southeastern market.
The Jones team working out of the Tampa office is a design-build partner with regional construction and design firms. The design-build focus includes taking conceptional project designs and adding the fabrication and engineering details needed to make the elements a reality. Jones offers a turnkey option for signage, wayfinding systems, canopies, vertical gardens, custom lighting elements, electronic message centers, and other fabricated architectural elements.
