In its tenth year, the MSPmentor 501 study is the information technology industry’s most respected ranking of the world’s top managed service providers. Honorees on the 2017 MSPmentor 501 list had a combined $14.52 billion in total revenue (based on 2016 results), up more than 15 percent from 2015.
Vology is one of only 30 Florida-based companies ranked on the 2017 MSPmentor 501 list. Vology is ranked the highest among the six based in the greater Tampa area.
“We’re honored to be ranked as one of the top managed service providers in the world for the third year in a row,” said Barry Shevlin, CEO of Vology. “Back in 2010, we rebranded as Vology and began our transition from a hardware reseller into an industry-leading managed service provider. The transformation hasn’t been easy, but our team’s determination never faded. Since Vology’s debut on the MSPmentor 501 in 2015, Vology has swiftly moved up nearly 100 spots, making it clear that our decision to focus on delivering managed services was the right one.”
“Vology should be proud to rank so high among an unprecedentedly strong field of quality MSPs,” said Aldrin Brown, Content Director of MSPmentor. “Coming from a background as a value-added reseller (VAR), Vology’s position on the 2017 MSPmentor 501 illustrates the success of the company’s continuing evolution into a pure managed IT services provider.”
To qualify for the 2017 MSPmentor 501, organizations were required to submit confidential survey applications and verified 2016 financial results. To determine where companies were ranked on the list, candidates were evaluated on revenue from key go-to-market activities. Revenue from true managed and cloud services were weighted more heavily than professional services, consulting, and reselling.
