It’s hard to believe 36,000 Pinellas County children live each day with food insecurity. The summer months are often the most challenging time for these children who may rely upon their school lunch program as their primary meal source.
You can help local children in need by donating to the Pinellas Community Foundation’s first annual summer food drive. Nonperishable, kid-friendly food items are urgently needed.
What: Peanut butter, jelly, macaroni, fruit cups, dried fruit, crackers, granola bars, and cereal
Where: All Regions Bank Branches Located in Pinellas County
When: June 15 – July 15
Benefitting: Florida Dream Center and UMCM Suncoast
You can also show your support by texting ihelped to 41444. The Pinellas Community Foundation will match the first $20,000 donated.
