Citizens Invited to Share Input During FY2018 City Budget Open House June 19

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (June 12, 2017) – Learn more about the city budget process and share your thoughts and priorities for the FY2018 City Budget during the FY 2018 City Budget Open House, Monday, June 19, at 6 p.m. The forum, held at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N., will allow citizens to ask questions and share ideas with Mayor Rick Kriseman, City Council members, and administrators from 6-7 p.m. City staff from City Development, Public Safety, Neighborhood Affairs, Public Works, General Government, and Leisure Services departments will also be available to speak with citizens during the first hour.  Following the breakout session, Budget Director Tom Greene will give a brief overview of how the city budget is developed before citizens have an opportunity to comment and City Council members share their budget priorities.

Citizens are invited to participate by taking a brief, one-question survey through June 30 at www.stpete.org/budget. The budget open house will be rebroadcast throughout the summer on StPeteTV, Bright House Channel 641, WOW! Channel 15, and Verizon Fi0s Channel 20.
