(St. Petersburg, FL, June 7, 2017) On June 12th, we reflect on the victims of the Pulse Nightclub mass shooting in Orlando. At the same time, we remember the injured whose lives were saved with the help of blood donors, who gave before the tragedy so that blood was immediately available. They were the silent heroes on the First Responder teams. In recognition of this anniversary and as they did last year, Mayors Bob Buckhorn and George Cretekos will again be donating blood. They encourage others to join them in giving the “Gift of Life” at least once a year.
