
BRADENTON, Fla. — Orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist Dr. Arthur Valadie with Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management recently received the Adult Volunteer Award from the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s fifth annual Champions of Healthcare.
The 10 winners were announced at an awards breakfast at the Polo Grill in Lakewood Ranch on May 25. The Manatee Chamber of Commerce received almost 70 nominations gathered from across the community. The award recipients contribute to Manatee County’s well being and making an impact on the health and healthcare through service and a commitment to excellence in Manatee County.
Dr. Valadie, the physician president of Coastal Orthopedics Sports Medicine & Pain Management, can typically be found at youth athletic events, treating injuries and providing countless hours of support. He works with club travel teams and high school teams throughout the area, including Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School, Bayshore High School, Manatee High School, Palmetto High School and Bradenton Christian School. He also serves as the sports medicine physician to the Pittsburgh Pirates, U.S. Soccer national teams, IMG Academy, Premier Sports Campus and State College of Florida.

Dr. Arthur Valadie is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy and knee and shoulder reconstruction. He attended medical school at the University of Florida. Dr. Valadie completed his residency at Emory University and then a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, Calif.
