(St. Petersburg, Florida) — The Leslie Curran Gallery is proud to announce the opening of 4D3, an exhibition featuring the mixed media work of CHAD MIZE. The upcoming exhibit opens June 10th, 2017 in conjunction with St Petersburg’s Second Saturday ArtWalk, and remains on view thru July 15th, 2017.
Multimedia artist, designer, and celebrated curator Mize, who has been instrumental in helping generate much of the energy in St Petersburg’s creative community, presents a new body of work inspired by major creative moments in his 43 years of life. Come see what this amazing artist, notable for his years as the curator of BLUELUCY and designer of the iconic WORLD TOUR (Paris, London, Tokyo, St Pete) t-shirt, has been up to lately in this solo exhibition, 4D3.
“I create something new daily… design, art, photos, motion, a statement or view. Doing this allows me to stay current. It inspires me to create and make an impact on everyday life,” explains this very charming and approachable artist whose fans span the globe. And “current” is certainly an appropriate description. Chad Mize created the recognizable brand/persona of CHIZZY as a view on life, fashion, music, satire, nostalgia, politics, and style, expressed through his signature art & design.
From helping create the St Petersburg Shuffleboard Court’s Friday Night Shuffle to organizing the community outreach for the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival, a love and desire to live in a unique city motivates him. As former gallery owner of Bluelucy, he has represented over 450 local and national artists. With a passion for pop culture, visual communications, and human nature, Mize hopes his uplifting message continues to reach his community, Floriduh and the universe.
