Mariela I. Tassone has joined Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin as an associate in the firm’s Tampa office. A member of the Professional Liability Department, she focuses her practice on construction defect litigation and general professional liability defense.
Ms. Tassone represents sub-contractors, general contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, architects and engineers in claims brought against them in a variety of construction projects and disputes. She is a member of the American Bar Association and The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division.
Active in her community, Ms. Tassone volunteers with the Pinellas County Guardian ad Litem program as a child advocate to assure that the best interests of the child are considered in court proceedings. She is also a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, Pinellas Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers.
Ms. Tassone received a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and her juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law. In law school, she gained valuable experience while studying abroad in London, learning the differences between our legal systems and different E.U. governing bodies.
She is admitted to practice law in Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
