TAMPA, FL – May 12, 2017 – Woodrow “Woody” H. Pollack a Shareholder in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, has been appointed to The Florida Bar’s Intellectual Property Certification Committee. The nine member certification committee works to certify other attorneys as having special skills, knowledge and expertise in intellectual property law.
“I am looking forward to working with the other members of The Florida Bar’s Intellectual Property Certification Committee to help identify and certify intellectual property attorneys throughout Florida,” Pollack said. “Very few lawyers are Board Certified in Intellectual Property and I’m excited to continue to serve The Florida Bar and improve our profession.”
Based in the firm’s Tampa office, Pollack devotes his practice exclusively to intellectual property matters, with a focus on litigating complex patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes. He litigates matters in state and federal courts as well as patent validity issues before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He is Board Certified in Intellectual Property law by The Florida Bar. As a registered patent attorney, Woody also has significant experience in patent and trademark prosecution and licensing. Serving as counsel for a wide variety of intellectual property disputes across the country, Pollack counsels his clients in the protection, enforcement, and defense of their intellectual property. He has successfully handled multimillion dollar intellectual property cases through jury trial, and regularly appears in both federal and state courts. Pollack also has extensive experience representing clients in front of the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
