Free Saturday afternoon youth ball hockey clinics sponsored by Grow Hockey Movement in Temple Terrace are attracting boys and girls ages 4 to 15 who want to learn to play one of the hottest sports sweeping Tampa Bay.
Grow Hockey Move is now in the process of forming recreational ball hockey leagues for boys and girls ages 15-and-under that will be held at Terrace Sports roller skating rink at 5311 East Busch Boulevard in Temple Terrace. The free Saturday afternoon ball hockey learn-to-play clinics are attracting boys and girls who decide they want to play in the first-ever ball hockey recreational youth league in downtown Tampa.
To help introduce the sport, the new Ball Hockey League and the Terrace Sports rink, all boys and girls ages 4 to 15 are being invited by Grow Hockey Movement to attend a FREE LEARN TO PLAY CLINIC from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAYS in spring and summer 2017.
SPECIAL NOTE: THE FREE CLINIC SET FOR 2:30 P.M. SAT., MAY 13 HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE THAT WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.
Grow Hockey Movement Free Ball Hockey League Clinics are also scheduled for 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sat., June 10, and Sun., June 24, 2017.
The free clinics are hosted by the volunteer nonprofit Grow Hockey Movement, Inc., and provide a fun way to introduce first-time youth players to the sport. Ball hockey equipment including sticks and balls will be provided to players participating in the free clinics, which are led by experienced teachers.
The ultimate goal of the Grow Hockey Movement Ball Hockey Clinic is to create the first recreational youth 15-and-under ball hockey league at Terrace Sports. It will be the first Grow Hockey Movement sponsored 10-week recreational season when the league officially begins this summer following the Free Saturday Clinics.
Complete signup details for both the Ball Hockey clinics and the league can be found at http://www.growhockey.org and http://www.tampaihl.com. Grow Hockey Movement invites all girls and boys ages 4 to 15 to come and be part of the new youth sports sensation that is sweeping Tampa Bay.
Grow Hockey Movement, Inc., an IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit C-Corp, has as its mission the growth and continuing support of off-ice ball and roller hockey community and scholastic programs and leagues in the Tampa Bay area so that all boys and girls starting at age 4 have an opportunity to learn and play the sport, regardless of ability to pay. Scholarships will be available through Grow Hockey Movement for eligible players whose family can’t afford the $100 per player cost of the Ball Hockey League.
