Residents cite amenities and location as key factors in decision to live at Peridot Palms
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – April 24, 2017 – Peridot Palms, a new 381-unit luxury multi-family community in the Gandy Boulevard corridor of north St. Petersburg, is leasing up quickly. Opened in June 2016, the community is already 60 percent leased, with residents citing Peridot Palms’ high-end amenities and location as the top reasons they chose to live there.
“As the first new residential community built along this part of Gandy in the past four years, Peridot Palms is truly a live-work-play destination,” said Harold L. Tomlinson, Chairman and President, of Parkland Development, the developer of Peridot Palms. “By providing fun events and amenities like our two-story clubhouse and lakefront beach-entry pool, the community offers residents a wide array of options for recreation, relaxation and meeting other people.”
Peridot Palms has 1-, 2-, and 3- bedroom residences ranging from a 615-square-foot, 1-bedroom apartment to a 1,441-square-foot, 3-bedroom apartment.
All apartments are furnished with stainless steel appliances, granite or white quartz countertops, ample storage, full-size washer and dryer, spacious open floor plans, large windows and screened lanais or sunroom extensions. A higher-end “executive collection” of apartments takes luxury to the next level with double vanities, walk-in closets and spa-inspired baths with rain showerheads.
As for amenities, the 17,000-sequare-foot clubhouse offers residents a wide variety of exercise options in a fitness center complete with a boxing studio, free weights and lockers as well as saunas, a massage room and nail salon. Adjacent to the fitness area, the clubhouse has a big-screen movie-viewing room, a private dining room, wine lockers for residents’ use and a demonstration cooking area.
Behind the clubhouse, residents can enjoy Florida living in a poolside entertaining space complete with kitchen, gas grills, private cabanas, indoor and outdoor kayak storage, sundeck, fire pit and Jacuzzi.
In addition to its onsite amenities, Peridot Palms proactively builds a strong sense of community among residents. Resident events are regularly held at nearby establishments as well as the community’s clubhouse, allowing neighbors to get to know one another. Whether it’s craft beer and burgers for game night, pumpkin carving during the holidays, or “yappy hour” at the on-campus dog parks, there are always opportunities for residents to interact.
“I probably visited at least 12 other properties when I was relocating here,” said Brian Zmich, 34, who recently moved to the Tampa Bay area from Atlanta for a new job. “I chose Peridot Palms because the amenities were far and away the best in the area. Ultimately the amenities, the overall peacefulness of the community, and the proximity to everything in the Tampa Bay area made it a perfect fit.”
The community is located at 10601 Gandy Boulevard, east of 4th Street N and west of the Gandy Boulevard bridge connecting Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. The convenient location is just 20 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg and 15 minutes from the Westshore area of Tampa.
As of mid-April, 232 of the 381 units have been leased.
To commemorate its successful first year, Peridot Palms is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on April 25, with activities planned both for visitors and residents of the community. For more information about the event or about Peridot Palms, contact (855) 201-4758.
