New Branding is in Honor of CASA’s 40th Anniversary serving Pinellas County, FL
April 28, 2017, St. Petersburg, FL – Many know that CASA’s thrift store has a surprisingly high quality array of boutique clothing, accessories, furniture, art and home goods, but not everyone knows that it also has a critical purpose. The store is a vital funding source for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse), the official domestic violence center for southern Pinellas County, Florida. In fact, all items in the thrift store are either provided free to domestic violence survivors or sold, with all proceeds used to fund CASA’s services.
CASA’s thrift store, formerly known as “CASA Collections Thrift Shoppe” has changed its name and logo to emphasize the role it plays in the community and within CASA. It is proud to announce its rebranding as “CASA Community Thrift Shop!” The new logo was created by Sunshine Design Studio.
CASA measures success by the enduring safety and opportunity it helps domestic violence survivors achieve. Each such success permeates throughout society. It ends the generational cycle of violence that is among the leading causes of crime, homelessness, lost economic opportunity and depression. It provides hope, prosperity and reduces the strain on other important community resources.
With its new name, CASA Community Thrift Shop can better express the store’s role in strengthening our community. It will help people understand that when they shop or donate to CASA Community Thrift Shop they are ensuring safety and opportunity for people in critical need.
