Tampa, FL, June 4th, 2016 – If jerk chicken and steel drums has you dreaming of the islands, you won’t have to go too far to experience it firsthand! The Caribbean-American National Development Organization (CANDO), in partnership with the University Area Community Development Corp. (UACDC) presents the 7th Annual Tampa Bay Caribbean Heritage Month Festival, Saturday June 3th, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the University Area Community Center, 14013 North 22nd Street in Tampa.
The month of June is recognized as National Caribbean Heritage Month, and is celebrated in major cities across the United States. The Tampa event will be a combination of Caribbean music performed by DJ’s including International DJs -DJ Spice and DJ Baboo, Jah Movement Reggae band and all the way from Trinidad, Soca Sensation – Teddyson John!!!
This year’s event is also featuring cultural performances including an Indian Fashion Presentation, African Drumming, Spanish and Haitian Dance Performances as well all-island food, art, and fun for the entire family.
