Hudson, Florida (April 24, 2017) – Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point is proud to announce the appointment of Melissa Vann as interim Director of Med Telemetry and Medical Oncology. Melissa was promoted from her position as Nurse Manager of PCU and Critical Care Unit at RMCBP. Ms. Vann joined HCA in May of 2012 and has held leadership positions at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point since December of 2012.
She received both her RN and LPN from Galen College of Nursing in St. Petersburg and holds the following certifications: BLS and ACLS, IV and EKG, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), AACN (American Association of Critical Care Nurses) certification, stroke certification, and IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon Pump) trained.
Ms. Vann is originally from Brooklyn, New York and moved to Florida in 2004 to pursue a career in the medical field. She began as a Medical Assistant for an internal medical practice where she served for 6 years. She also served at a multi-disciplinary practice for 3 years prior to receiving her LPN.
