Tampa, FL- Hillsborough Community College (HCC) tennis player, Ceire Mullins, has been named FCSAA Women’s Tennis State Singles Champion and FCSAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Year. Ceire clinched the title after defeating her opponent from ASA – Miami (6-4, 7-6). She will compete for the national title in Tucson, Arizona.
Ceire began her career at HCC in January 2017 after being recruited from England. She earned an impressive 13-2 record in her first season at the number one singles position. She competed in one of the toughest schedules in junior college, playing 11 matches against players who were ranked in the top 20.
She is currently ranked number three in the nation and beat the second ranked player for the regional title.
Ceire has also played at the number one doubles position. She and her partner, Marian Ivanov, are currently ranked 13th in the nation. HCC Tennis is currently ranked 13th in the nation.
