
Matthew Palma, an associate in statewide law firm Broad and Cassel’s Orlando office, will present on the probate process at an upcoming seminar by the National Business Institute (NBI) titled “The Probate Process From Start to Finish.” The event will take place in three separate locations – Tampa, Sarasota and Fort Myers – June 12-14.
Palma is a member of Broad and Cassel’s Estate Planning and Trusts Practice Group. In addition to his juris doctor, he holds a master of laws in estate planning from the University of Miami School of Law Heckerling Graduate Program. He is experienced in all areas of probate and trust litigation, including will contests; trusts contests; claims of undue influence; claims of lack of capacity; probate accountings; trust accountings; actions brought against personal representatives; actions brought against trustees; federal and state tax litigation, including tax appropriation issues; and creditor claim actions.
During the NBI seminar, Palma will speak on a variety of topics, including filing an estate in probate court and understanding the role of the personal representative in probate. Additionally, he will present on generation skipping transfer trusts at an NBI seminar in August.
