The Association for Corporate Growth’s Tampa Bay Chapter announces the winners of the organization’s 2017 ACG Cup Competition are Jordan Schulz, Wesley Caplan, Jonathan Siragusa and Ryan O’Farrell – all current MBA students representing the University of Florida.
Presented by title sponsor Crowe Horwath, LLP, the competition took place on Thursday, March 30, 2017. The field of competition included eight teams of graduate business students from University of Florida, University of South Florida, University of Tampa and Rollins College. The M&A case competition allows students to apply their studies to a real-world case challenging their knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advising and private equity. Each team presents valuation, capital markets and M&A strategic advice to a panel of professionals.
“We were extremely impressed with all the teams, as they demonstrated their clear understanding of M&A strategy and a command of technical analytical data, states Marshall Morris, managing partner of Group125 LLC and the 2017 ACG Cup chairman. “The winning foursome brought forth polished presentation skills and impressively conveyed confidence in their position when questioned by the experienced judging panel.”
In addition to the valuable team experience, feedback from knowledgeable professionals and introductions to leading firms in the Tampa Bay market, the four winning teams took home cash prizes from a total prize pool of $17,500. For team photos and videos, visit bit.ly/TampaACGCup2017.
