GULFPORT, FL: Whimsy will be in the air for the 23rd time this year, as the annual Springfest Garden Art & Faerie Festival is on its way again. Hosted on 7.5 acres of green grass, with tall trees and beautiful flowers aplenty, this yearly tapestry of colors is sure to impress. Clymer Park will become an “enchanted village” on April 14th & 15th, filled with wonderful beings of all kinds. Our park will be a forest of costumed faeries, sprites, gnomes, even ogres and trolls! You will also be delighted to stroll past Renaissance-era characters, gypsies, minstrels, wizards, and roving entertainers.
For the first time ever, Springfest will host a Good Friday Fish Fry! Join us for that special event along with our traditional variety of family friendly activities and entertainment. There will be May Pole dances and live music for a lilting good time. Dance around and bring merriment to all during the costume contest or show off your fanciful creativity by entering the faerie house contest.
The kids can have a time as droll and amusing as the adults, with face painting, pixie dusting, bubble blowing and more.
Our vendors become Renaissance merchants for this affair! Offerings include plants, flowers, and herbs, garden art, clothing, jewelry, hand-made crafts, and other works of art and items of fantastical interest. Food & beverages will also be available from a number of shopkeepers around the fair.
There is no admission fee for this event. Springfest is pet and family friendly, and complimentary parking is available with free trolley rides to and from off-site parking areas. For more information please visit us on www.Facebook.com/GulfportSpringfest or call 727-322-5217.
