Registration opens at 12:01 a.m. March 27 for the county’s 2017 Summer in the Parks offerings, which include Day Camp North (grades 1-5), Day Camp South (grades 1-6) and Adventure Camp (grades 6-8). The county also hosts more than 30 specialty camps focusing on a special theme, including “Bricks 4 Kidz” LEGO and robotics camps; chef camps; “Mad Science” camps; skim, surf, paddle camps; beach volleyball camp and therapeutic camp.
Sarasota County has provided summer camps for more than 40 years. There are camps to fit every family’s schedule, including one-week, four-week, half-day and full-day options. Costs vary, and payment plans and scholarships are available.
