Lakeland, FL (March 22, 2017) As of Wednesday, March 22, 2017, Explorations V Children’s Museum will be working together with Blue Star Families to participate as a Blue Star Museum. Blue Star Museums are organizations that provide free admission for active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day until Labor Day. This partnership not only reflects the museum’s appreciation for the women and men who bravely serve our country, but also coincides with its mission to provide a hands-on, fun-filled adventure in learning for all children and their families.
Explorations V Children’s Museum, a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is located in downtown Lakeland in the historic S.H. Kress Building. Four floors of mind stretching, kid-powered exhibits and programs provide a hands-on, fun-filled adventure in learning for children and their families. Hours are Monday – Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm. Admission is $9 per person and family memberships are $90. Active military and their family, Senior citizens 65+ and teachers with ID are $4.50. Access/EBT card holders are $3 per person. Children under two are free. Members of Explorations V Children’s Museum are also free.
