Highland Homes Ranks #69 Fastest Growing Company on Gator100List

March 22, 2017 by Post

Lakeland, FL – With their ongoing success in the past year, Lakeland-based home builder Highland Homes is proud to be recognized as the 69th fastest-growing business in the world owned or led by a University of Florida alumni, as ranked on the University of Florida’s 2017 Gator100 list.

Since 2013, The UF Alumni Association and the UF Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center has released the Gator100 list every year in order to recognize their most successful alumni entrepreneurs. To qualify for the Gator100, companies must have been in business for five years or more as of Oct. 1, 2016, and have had verifiable annual revenues of $250,000 or more in 2013. Additionally, from Jan. 1, 2013, through Oct. 1, 2016, a UF alumnus or alumna must have owned 50 percent or more of the company, or served as company’s chief executive, or founded the company and been active as a member of the most senior management team.

To generate the rankings, Ernst & Young calculated each company’s compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years. With a CAGR of 38.50 percent, Highland Homes is honored to receive recognition on the Gator100 in 2017, as it has every year since the lists inception.
