Jennifer Brunty has joined Stantec as a senior scientist in our Sarasota, Florida, Professional Parkway office. Brunty brings almost two decades of experience providing environmental protection and project management services. Most recently, she worked as project manager for the Southwest Florida Water Management District. She has lived in Florida half her life, which affords her a keen understanding of state and federal regulations, which will enhance Stantec’s Environmental Services practice in the Gulf Region.
Brunty earned her doctor of philosophy in soil science and soil fertility from Washington State University, and her master of science in agricultural operations management and aquaculture at the University of Florida. Her background includes a concentration in the Florida Department of Transportation’s Wetland Mitigation Program, Environmental Resource Permits (ERPs), Best Management Practices, and water quality. She’s taught Master Conservationist courses through the Highlands County Soil and Water Conservation District and a Lakes for the Homeowner Seminar series in Highlands County.
