Sarasota Orthopedic Associates is pleased to announce our partnership for the fifth year in a row of the Tour de Parks Legacy Trail Fun Ride to be held on Sunday, March 26 at the Venice Train Station. Proceeds from this event will help to extend the Legacy Trail to Payne Park in Sarasota. The paved trail ride begins at 7am and registration fee is $35.00. Riders may ride any or all of the 62 mile course.
The Legacy Trail construction is the largest public recreation project in Sarasota. Thousands of walkers, runners, and cyclists enjoy the trail monthly to exercise and connect with nature. Trip Advisor names the trail as one of the top “must do” sights in our area. Eight trailheads along the way offer the best means to experience the beauty of our area. More information may be obtained at www.LegacyTrailFriends.org. The goal of Friends of the Legacy Trail is to “support, promote, enhance, and protect the Venice to Sarasota rails-to-trails now and for future generations”.
