The March 21 webinar is the second in a free bimonthly series from firm’s Tampa office
TAMPA (March 17, 2017) – Labor and employment attorneys in the Tampa office of Fisher Phillips will educate employers and human resources professionals on social issues affecting the workplace in 2017 during a live webinar on Tuesday, March 21.
Anyone involved in making decisions that affect employees will benefit from the “Social Issues That Impact the Workplace: Still Hot in 2017” webinar. The session will cover such relevant social topics as transgender rights, the use of medical marijuana, the ever-present debate about religious rights and privileges in the workplace, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act and the National Labor Relations Board’s social agenda for the year.
The March 21 webinar is the second installment in a bimonthly educational series called “What Every Employer Needs to Know.” The free series, led by attorneys Theresa Gallion and Brett Owens, aims to highlight critical labor and employment law topics throughout the year.
Gallion, a founding partner of the firm’s Tampa and Orlando offices, has been practicing labor and employment law for 34 years and is one of the firm’s most experienced trial lawyers. She specializes in complex employment litigation and collective actions, representing clients in a wide variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, education, retail and telecommunications.
Owens, an associate, joined Fisher Phillips in November 2016. His practices include employment discrimination and harassment, labor and employment litigation, litigation of employment disputes, jury trials and wrongful termination suits.
The webinar lasts from noon to 1:15 p.m. For more information on the series, or to register, visit www.fisherphillips.com/newsroom-events-2017-what-every-employer-needs-to-know.
