SARASOTA, Fla. — MBJ Group (MBJGroup.com), a talent management company, recently led the successful search for the new executive director of the Animal Rescue Coalition (ARC), a not-for-profit organization with programs designed to reduce overpopulation in local animal shelters and make Sarasota and surrounding counties true no-kill communities.
With an extensive background in finance and operations, Mary Dietterle took the helm of the nonprofit on February 20. During her 20-year career, she has held several executive-level business management positions. Most recently, she led the business operations and organizational development for the energy division of a global supply chain manager with offices in North America, Europe and Asia.
“Mary maintains a true passion for animal welfare and brings a wealth of business experience and knowledge to the Animal Rescue Coalition,” said Joanna Pace, the board president of ARC. “We are very excited to have Mary expand our circle of friends, and more importantly, expand ARC’s mission and service to the community.”
In Dietterle’s new role, she will continue ARC’s mission of proactively offering spay and neuter programs, comprehensive adoption support and various other preemptive initiatives to reduce pet overpopulation.
“As a problem solver by nature, I was immediately intrigued by the way the Animal Rescue Coalition is approaching the challenge of creating true no-kill communities in this part of Florida,” said Dietterle. “Having spent the majority of my career building and transforming businesses in the for-profit sector, I am eager to utilize my experience and skills to further advance the incredible work that ARC is doing to reduce the influx of animals to our shelter systems and place them into good homes.”
