Brooksville, Florida (March 13, 2017) – Live Oak Theatre announces the full cast for its upcoming production of the timeless classic musical, The Wizard of Oz. “The Live Oak Theatre season closer will keep as close to the movie as possible, said director, Kyle Marra. LOT announced the principals of the show on February 7.
Auditions for the 2017 season were held in August of 2016. The competition for Dorothy was so close that the role of Dorothy will be shared by three veteran LOT performers. As is the LOT custom, several principal roles are double-cast.

About The Wizard of Oz
The very popular and well-known musical will conclude Live Oak Theatre’s 2016-2017 season. The cast includes Vince Vanni in the title role of the Wizard, veteran performer Terry Edwards in the role of the Tin Man, and a host of Live Oak regulars. The role of Dorothy will be shared by three Live Oak veteran performers: Holly Frendberg, Lexi Allocco, and Gwyneth Mitten.
The production will feature the songs of the 1939 film. It includes a cast of adults and children in age appropriate roles. The Wizard of Oz will be performed on Fridays and Saturdays March 31 through April 8 at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 200 Mt. Fair Avenue, Brooksville, Florida 34601. Shows are 7:30 pm on Fridays and 2:30 and 7:30 pm on Saturdays.
