TAMPA, FL (March 7, 2017) – Peerfit, a digital platform designed to help companies create a culture of wellness, has hired an experienced corporate wellness director to lead its enterprise health team. Emma Maurer is now director of enterprise health for Peerfit.
Maurer brings more than 13 years of experience in corporate health promotion and population health management to her role at Peerfit. Most recently, she was director of St. Vincent’s HealthWorks, which provides corporate health and wellness programs to employers in Northeast Florida, a Peerfit client.
“Emma adds to the level of talent and experience on our growing enterprise health team,” said Edward J. Buckley, III, Ph.D., CEO of Peerfit. “Her enthusiasm and passion for the industry makes her an ideal leader for our organization.”
In this role, Maurer will develop goals and strategies to grow Peerfit’s enterprise health division, which works closely with employers who are developing, or expanding, their worksite wellness programs. Maurer and her team will assist employers with all stages of Peerfit implementation, from identifying premium fitness studios that meet employees’ needs to engaging employees in using their employer’s worksite wellness dollars for better health. Peerfit’s enterprise health team even continues its support after rollout to assist its clients with employee engagement to make sure they are getting the most out of their use of Peerfit.
“Throughout my career, I’ve emphasized the importance of investing wellness dollars into solutions that provide a way for employers to actually measure the success of their investment,” said Maurer. “I’m excited to join Peerfit because it is a data-driven solution that meets the needs of both employers and employees.”
Prior to her role at St. Vincent’s HealthWorks, Maurer served as director of employer relations for St. Vincent’s Healthcare in Jacksonville.
