The 4th Annual, private event on Davis Island will raise money for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay
TAMPA, FLA (March 3, 2017) – On Friday, April 7, 2017 Davis Island residents Nancy and Tom Newman will hold the 4th Annual Island Paws Party at their waterfront home. The sunset soiree will bring more than 300 guests to the island for cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a silent auction to raise much-needed funds for the homeless animals at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB). Honored guests at the event will be more than 20 adoptable pets hoping to find forever homes with the animal-loving partygoers.
“Three years ago we decided to showcase the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in our home so that our friends and neighbors could learn about the wonderful work they are doing on behalf of homeless pets,” said Nancy Newman, HSTB board member and host of Island Paws Party. “The more money we raise and awareness we spread, the more lives we can save. That is our motivation.”
Island Paws Party, which raised more than $58,000 last year, represents a new wave in fundraising events for the Society, private party that raises money through ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations.
“Smaller parties in intimate settings allow us to personalize our mission,” said HSTB Chief Development Officer Karen Ryals. “We get to offer potential supporters a meaningful experience that they won’t soon forget- spending a moonlit evening by the water with an adoptable pet. We could not be more grateful to the Newmans for this opportunity.”
Top sponsors for this year’s event are The Antinori Family, The Berman Gunn Family, Diane Homa, Teresa and Greg Matton, Nancy and Tom Newman/Neurological Specialties, and PNC Bank. A complete list of sponsors can be found at IslandPawsParty.com.
