Old McMicky’s Farm Hosted Pediatric Heart Patient Birthday Party Fundraiser
100% of the $10,000 raised went to his family for medical expenses
Odessa, FL (February 28, 2017) – In 2016, the Old McMicky’s Farm was privileged to host a very special birthday party for a very special child. Eric Piburn was born with a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, which is four defects of the heart and blood vessels. After four heart surgeries, he is in need of a new heart and a double lung transplant. So far, neither has been attempted due to the dangers posed by the surgeries. One of Eric’s very modest bucket list items was a birthday party where everyone could come share in his special day. Last year the farm donated that party and it was a huge success. Eric and everyone had an amazing time and $15,000 was raised for Eric’s medical care.
Old McMicky’s was pleased again to donate the venue for a birthday party fundraiser on Sunday to again help make some of Eric’s dreams come true. Over 400 guests attended the party and over $10,000 was raised for Eric’s medical care.
Pictures from the party are attached.
