Spring Hill, Florida (February 27, 2017) – Oak Hill Hospital announces that it was recently recognized with the National Workplace Partnership Award Bronze for its achievements and participation in the National Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign.
This national initiative promotes organ and tissue donation education and is sponsored by the United States Department of Health & Human Services’ Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). Oak Hill Hospital conducted awareness and registry campaigns to raise awareness and educate associates, patients, visitors, and community members about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donors and, by doing so, increase the number of potential donors in the Donate Life Florida state organ and tissue donor registry. This year local hospitals provided education to thousands and helped the Donate Life Florida organ and tissue donor registry hit a milestone of nine million registrants making it the second largest donor registry in the United States (California is the largest).
Since the inception of this national hospital campaign in 2001, over 400,000 people have registered their donation decision on state organ and tissue donor registries. LifeLink thanked the Oak Hill Hospital team for their continued support in helping save lives through organ and tissue donation. This year Oak Hill Hospital achieved:
