City of Tarpon Springs Business News

The streets and sidewalks are crowded with seasonal residents and tourists.  During this busy season, spend time in the City and visit the new stores and restaurants that are opening.  We’d like to hear your thoughts and comments on the City’s progress.   Send an e-mail. 

Two Frogs Brewing Company to Open Downtown

The City’s third craft brewing company will open this year in a historic building at 151 E. Tarpon Ave.  Two Frogs Brewing Company will feature classic American ales along with specialties including a brown ale made with toasted coconut and cocoa nibs; Mandarin Dreams, a wheat ale brewed with mandarin oranges and vanilla beans.; and an imperial rye ale brewed with white oak barrel chips.  Owner Chad Croake is targeting a late April opening, joining SilverKing and Brasserie Saint Somewhere Downtown.

Say Hello to Hello Sunshine Cafe

A new fresh concepts cafe featuring healthy wraps, bowls, soups and sandwiches including organic, vegan, and vegetarian dishes, will soon open at 212 E. Tarpon Avenue, site of the former Cinnamon Swirlz Bakery. Hello Sunshine Cafe, owned by Melody Hassl, is the latest addition to the growing Downtown restaurant scene. The restaurant is scheduled to open in March.

City Moves Forward on Hotel Attraction

The Board of Commissioners recently approved changes to the City comprehensive plan and land development code as part of ongoing efforts to attract more hotels to the City.  The changes increase the allowed densities and intensities to make a hotel project feasible in the City.  Click on the above links for the ordinance information.

Small Business News
