Tampa, FL., Feb 16, 2017 – An exploration like no other, the Gasparilla International Food Festival comes to Ybor this Spring on Sunday, March 26th, 2017 taking taste buds on a culinary journey to find treasure in global dishes!
From New Orleans Kitchen to Asian, Mediterranean, Hispanic, European, and Caribbean, the event is set to be a foodie “haven” for the connoisseur of international taste! …and if that’s not enough for a foodie to indulge, the event will also be the host of Tampa’s first “International Foodie Contest”, a conquest identifying the enthusiasts who can best determine a dish simply by its taste while blind-folded.
An open to the public family-event, the Gasparilla International Food Festival welcomes thousands of Bay area residents and visitors to experience the “melting pot” of Tampa Bay, even beyond taste! The event will also feature a live reggae band, global art in the park, fashion, and even an open dancefloor for patrons to enjoy salsa after sunset!
“It’s more than a food festival, it’s a celebration of our city’s diverse and rich history, one that individuals of all age groups walks of life can relate to, enjoy, and appreciate.” said Tashima Johnson, organizer of Gasparilla International Food Festival.
To make the evening more exciting, guests who have registered their FREE tickets to the event are entered automatically into a raffle to win an entrée from any participating chef of their choice! Winners will be announced every hour at the event. To register for the raffle, guest must go to www.gasparillafoodfestival.eventbrite.com
The event will be hosted in Tampa’s National Historic District, Ybor City at the Centennial Park from 5p- 9p, proudly supporting local bay area caterers, vendors, and artists. Serving the broader community as well, the event also benefits Tour & Mentor, a global initiative encouraging travelers and individuals of the diaspora to leave an indelible mark on the world.
