Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce City of Largo 2017 Outlook and Business Reception

February 8, 2017 by Post

LARGO – The Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the City of Largo to host the City of Largo 2017 Outlook and Business Reception on Thursday, February 23 from 5 until 7pm. This is a unique opportunity for community leaders to learn more about the vision of Largo and the impact on area business. This new program is proudly presented by the Government Advocacy Panel (GAP), a division of the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce and will be held at the Central Park Performing Arts Center, 105 Central Park Drive.

Mayor Woody Brown and City Manager Henry Schubert will be the evening’s featured presenters along with Department Directors from Public Works, Engineering, Community Development and Environmental Services.

“The City of Largo would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for this opportunity to connect with local leaders and share some exciting plans for the future of Largo” said City Manager, Schubert. “This will be one of the first public events to introduce to the community projects planned in anticipation of the Penny for Pinellas renewal.”

The presentation will be filled with information about current city projects including enhancements to Trotter Road and 2nd Street SW along with upcoming projects including sanitary sewer improvements and sidewalk planning. The City of Largo Outlook aims to establish more direct dialogue between city leaders and the business community.

“The mission of GAP is to open channels of communication between our business community and government,” said Laurie Bunce of Centratel, Chair of the Government Advocacy Panel for the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce. “We’re hoping this is the first of many such programs that bring business and government together.”

Tickets are $10, to cover reception costs and reservations can be made by calling (727)584-2321 or emailing Chamber President Tom Morrissette at Tom@CentralChamber.biz.
