TAMPA, Fla. (February 6, 2017) – Judge Lynn Toler, host of “Divorce Court,” and Steve Wilkos, host of “The Steve Wilkos Show,” return to Ybor City as special guests in the Krewe of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade, presented by MOR-TV, on February 11. Fans will have a chance to meet Judge Lynn Toler and Wilkos during a special Meet & Greet session in Centro Ybor plaza before the parade.
“Krewes are big fans of Judge Lynn Toler and Steve Wilkos’ work as entertainers, and their commitment to serving their communities throughout their careers,” said Ray Favata, Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago member and parade chairman. “We’re excited to have them back for this year’s celebration.”
Judge Lynn Toler has hosted “Divorce Court,” the longest running television court program, since 2006. She was elected Judge of the Cleveland Heights Municipal Court in 1993, and served while heading the Cleveland Heights Coordinated Community Response to Violence Against Women, a nationwide initiative to coordinate community resources to help women who are victims of violence.
Before “Divorce Court,” Judge Lynn Toler began hosting the nationally syndicated show “Power of Attorney” in 2001. She is also the author of three books, “My Mother’s Rules: A Practical Guide to Becoming an Emotional Genius,” “Put It In Writing,” and “Making Marriage Work: New Rules for an Old Institution.” “Divorce Court” airs 8-10 a.m. weekdays on MOR.
Steve Wilkos began hosting “The Steve Wilkos Show” in 2007. Before a career in entertainment, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps for seven years, and then returned to his hometown to serve in the Chicago Police Department for 12 years. Before he retired from the police department, he began moonlighting as a security guard on “The Jerry Springer Show,” and had guest hosted more than 50 episodes before he began hosting his own show.
“The Steve Wilkos Show” has earned him four Prism Award nominations for raising awareness about substance abuse and other social issues. He also hosted the Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in 2011, and has appeared in several other television shows and movies. “The Steve Wilkos Show” airs 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekdays on MOR.
“MOR-TV is extremely excited to welcome Judge Lynn Toler and Steve Wilkos to the 2017 Knight Parade,” said Pamela Barber, President and General Manager of MOR-TV.
