New Community Boasts Crystal Lagoon –First in U.S.
Wesley Chapel, Fla. – Pulte Homes has acquired home sites at Epperson, a new community underway with a major homeowner amenity — a unique, sustainable 7.7-acre “Crystal Lagoon,” – the first of its kind in the U.S. and will hold 16 million gallons of crystal clear water.
Epperson, a 1,000 home community located in Pasco County’s fast-growing Wesley Chapel, will be minutes from major entertainment and shopping venues such as The Shops at Wiregrass and will offer easy access to I-75 and I-275 said Sean Strickler, West Florida Division President for Pulte Homes.
The Crystal Lagoon activity pool is Epperson’s spectacular selling point and will serve as a benchmark of community development in the U.S. First developed in Chile, the lagoon is 200 feet wide with sandy beaches stretching the length of over five football fields and a depth of up to eight feet. Its special lining is a patented technology designed to economically keep the entire body of water pure and clean constantly. The lagoon features a water slide, a dock for kayaking, paddle boarding and small sailboats, separate spaces are provided for families and adults, and a “conversation pool” with hot tub-like seating.
Strickler said Pulte will be building four of its energy-efficient Life Tested® single-family home designs in Epperson. This spring, the homebuilder will start selling new homes that will range from approximately 1,700 square feet of living area to 2,800 square feet, with three to five bedrooms and up to 3 and a half bathrooms, priced from the mid $200s to mid $300s.
Life Tested homes are designed for how families live, giving homeowners the flexibility to create spaces and options that fit their needs, Strickler explained. Every Pulte home includes a limited 10-year transferrable structural warranty.
“Epperson is one of the most exciting residential opportunities in the state and Pulte Homes will offer high quality-built homes in this very distinctive, amenity-rich community at a compelling value,” Strickler said.
Epperson is an UltraFi community, featuring high speed internet access throughout the community. It is also part of the Connected City where every home will be built from the ground up with a fiber network. The Connected City Corridor is designed to transform Pasco County from a bedroom community to an area where residents can live, work, learn and play.
The location has excellent accessibility to employment hubs, transportation, entertainment, and recreation corridors. Epperson Ranch is five miles east of Interstate 75, the main north-south connector providing a 30 minute commute to downtown Tampa.
