With 20 years of experience, Whelan will manage and oversee the expansion of the Margo Lang Children’s Crisis Unit at Charlotte Behavioral Health Care. The $2.2-million project includes expanding the 3,600-square-foot west wing to include six children’s bedrooms, an expanded children’s recreation area of approximately 1,000 square feet, a 4,400-square-foot enlargement of the administration and services area in the south wing of the building and a 1,000-square-foot increase in its adult recreation area.
