Tampa – The Carrollwood Area Business Association (CABA) introduces its enshrines from CABA’s first decade into the CABA Hall of Fame: http://www.usecaba.com/hall-of-fame, at Brunchie’s of Tampa with a networking event and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
The CABA “After 5” networking will take place in the “CABA Room,” a meeting room that Brunchie’s owner, Bill Kranich, named to honor the organization that he attributes to Brunchie’s survival and ongoing success during its over 12 year history: http://www.tbo.com/northwest-tampa/brunchies-celebrates-its-10th-anniversary-on-dale-mabry-20141104/
“During construction in our parking lot on Dale Mabry, Brunchie’s customers couldn’t get in and out—much less see our restaurant from Dale Mabry. We were afraid we would have to close our doors as so many businesses have done when new construction blocks the view and ingress,” said Kranich.
“In fact,” Kranich added, “Brunchie’s has not only survived, but we are thriving and planning to open another location in Lutz this year. That’s why we wanted to honor the people who helped us keep our doors open, the Hall of Fame enshrines from 1986 – 1996, and the organization they created: CABA.
According to CABA President Jeff Ryder, all Hall of Fame enshrines have been active CABA members for ten (10) or more years and have made significant leadership contributions (five or more years) serving on the Board of Directors. “It’s difficult to tell the CABA story without mentioning their names,” said Ryder.
The charter class of inductees are as follows: †John Baumann, founding member of CABA; Robert Ahern, Ahern Insurance Services; †Jim Keeper, Debi Ryan, Executive Massage Therapy; Percy J. Legendre II, Bashor & Legendre; Dr. Barry D. Shapiro, Carrollwood Chiropractic Center and Family Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Inc.; Jim Kalameris, Kalameris Construction; Nancy Gordon, First Citrus Bank; Sandra Chewning, KohlerHaus; †Don Coryell, Greenacre Properties, and Noreen Klein, Premier Bookkeeping Services.
