TAMPA – Brett J. Preston, Shareholder at Hill Ward Henderson, recently accepted an invitation to join The Fellows of the American Bar Association. This honorary organization is comprised of lawyers, judges and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. Individuals are admitted to The Fellows by invitation only, through nomination by their peers. The Fellows support the research of the American Bar Foundation through annual contributions and sponsor seminars and events of relevance to leaders of the legal profession.
Mr. Preston is a Shareholder in Hill Ward Henderson’s Litigation Group and he also serves as the firm’s General Counsel. Although his practice emphasizes the defense of professional malpractice and life, health, and disability insurance and ERISA cases, Mr. Preston also represents clients involved in commercial disputes and defendants in serious personal injury and product liability cases.
Mr. Preston’s professional undertakings include, among many others, active membership in The Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, where he serves as a Senior Director on its Board of Directors and Conference Chair for its 2018 Winter Meeting. He also recently completed his tenure as Program Chair for the FDCC’s 2016 Annual Meeting and chair of its Ethics and Professionalism Committee, Law Firm Management Section, and Life, Health and Disability Section.
