Spring Hill, Florida (January 20, 2017) – Oak Hill Hospital is pleased to announce that Michael King, MD, FAAFP (Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians) has been appointed to serve as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians Commission on Education. His four year term of service began on December 15, 2016. The Commission on Education is one of seven commissions that direct AAFP policies and programs.
The Commission on Education’s scope of work includes issues in primary care workforce, student’s interest and issues in Family Medicine, training curriculum, educational policy and planning and evaluating the National Conference of Family Medicine Resident’s and Medical Students.
Dr. King practices at the Nature Coast Center for Primary Care in Brooksville and serves as the Graduate Medical Education Program Director for the Family Medicine residency program that is coming soon to Hernando County.
The American Academy of Family Physicians is the national association of family doctors. It is one of the largest national medical organizations, with 124,900 members in 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam, as well as internationally.
