January 20 ,21 22, 2017: Come Celebrate our 10th year! The Sarasota Native American Indian Festival takes place at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd, on Friday 9-5, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5
Come join us and experience the culture and artistry of the of the Native American people at the Sarasota Native American Indian Festival. Enjoy finding authentic, handmade, one-of-a-kind fine arts and crafts, paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, bead work and leather work, along with Native American food.
Our drum this year is Thunder Bear from the Cherokee nation who will share traditional Native American drumming, singing and various styles of dance throughout the weekend.
We will also have the Nahui Ollin Aztec Dancers joining us this year to share their beautiful culture.
We’re excited that Painted Raven, the female Native American Flute and World Music project led by Annette Abbondanza will be joining us for the weekend.
This festival will continue to be a tribute to the extraordinary life of artist Rex A. Begaye, its founder. His remarkable gifts as an artist and educator of Native American culture were the inspiration for this event focused on bringing authentic Native American culture to Sarasota.
