Florida Hospital Center Ice (FHCI) is the newest facility in the Tampa Bay area where hockey players will test their skills.
FHCI is pleasd to announce open registration for Adult Hockey and Youth Rec Hockey leagues for the 2017 -Spring season. Whether you are new to the sport, more experienced, or want to join a league for competition, there are numerous adult and youth programs available at FHCI.
For the Adult Hockey League, the eight game Season 1 regular season runs January 29-March 23, 2017 with the playoffs scheduled for March 26-30 consisting of one to three games. The Adult Hockey League program specifics are:
ADULT HOCKEY LEAGUE
• Beginner League – Tuesday evening
• D League – Monday evening
• C League – Sunday late afternoon/early evening
• Elite League – Thursday evening
• Premier League – Wednesday evening.
Season Length/Fees: The initial Winter Season will be an 8-week round robin format plus playoff. Spring and subsequent seasons will be 12 weeks in length with the same format. Winter Season cost per team: $2,500/Spring and subsequent seasons: $3,500/team. FHCI is currently accepting registrations from TEAMS (via captains) and INDIVIDUALS.
Standings/Statistics: All scores, standings, schedule, and stats are accessible through our Sports Engine website.
Game Check-In: Players check in by showing an individual ID (such as a driver’s license) to the scorekeeper prior to each game.
Full Team Registration (Captain’s Pick) – teams must be formed in advance and register as a complete team. The captain will notify the Hockey Coordinator of their intent to register a full team and will be able to invite their players to register and pay independently toward the team balance. A team of at least 10 full time players and a goalie is recommended.
For the Youth Rec Hockey League, the eight practice, seven game Season 1 regular season runs February 3-March 25, 2017 with the playoffs scheduled for March 26. The Youth Rec Hockey League program specifics are:

• Mini-Mites and Mites Friday evenings
• U10 Squirt – Saturday practice; Sunday games
• U12 Pee Wee – Saturday practice; Sunday games
• U14 Bantam – Saturday practice; Off-ice training provided weekly and Sunday games
• U16 Midget – Saturday practice; Off-ice training provided weekly and Sunday games
Season Length/Fees: The Mini-Mites season is eight weeks long consisting of one hour of on-ice training as well as off-ice training weekly for $136. The Mites season also runs for eight weeks with one hour of on-ice training and games as well as off-ice training per week for $136. U10 Squirt, U12 Pee Wee, U14 Bantam, and U16 Midget have eight practice sessions, eight games, as well as off-ice training weekly for $270. The initial season for U10-U16 runs from February 3 through March 25 with the playoffs scheduled for March 26.
Standings/Statistics: team standings, statistics, and schedule will all reside on our FHCI Sports Engine website and will be accessible to everyone for up-to-date information. Each team will have their own team page in the Sports Engine league system.
