Previously-announced show; tickets are available now
St. Petersburg, Fla. (Jan. 4, 2017) – Standup comedian Billy Gardell, Emmy-nominated co-star of the classic comedy series Mike & Molly, performs at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater Friday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m.
Gardell played Officer Mike Biggs on the popular sitcom for its entire 2010-2016 run. “We had six beautiful years on Mike & Molly, and it made it to syndication,” Gardell says. “When that happens, you can’t really complain, because most TV shows don’t make it past three years these days. So it was such a gift.”
In February, he’ll be seen in the eight-hour CMT miniseries Sun Records, playing Elvis Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Gardell’s standup show is a powerhouse. His grounded, down-to-earth point of view strikes a strong chord with American audiences. Stories about his rough childhood, wild adolescence and new family life are executed with the skill of a master craftsman.
Tickets are $35.50, $45.50 and $62.50, and may be purchased online at themahaffey.com, charge by phone at 727.893.7832 or in person at The Mahaffey Theater Box Office. The Mahaffey Box Office is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday or at least 90 minutes prior to any ticketed event.
