Safety Harbor, FL (December 28, 2016) – The non-profit, For the Girls International (FTGI) is pleased to announce, A Night to Shine Ball on Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, to benefit one of their newest programs, SHINE for Teen Girls. SHINE is nine week mentorship program for teenage girls in middle and high schools in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. “Studies show that seven in ten girls believe they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way, including their looks, performance in school and relationships with friends and family members,” said FTGI’s co-founder and executive director Tracey Metzger. “Our mission is to help girls understand they are valuable.”
The SHINE program helps prepare the teens with a healthy foundation, equipping and empowering them to live to their full potential, understanding their value, strength and purpose. The program is free and open to all teenage girls.
A Night to Shine Ball, is open to the public. The evening will feature a three course, sit-down dinner, musical entertainment and silent auction. Tickets can be purchased for $50 individually or $90 per couple now through January 9, 2017. After January 9, tickets will be $60 per person. You can buy tickets online at www.ftgi.org/a-night-to-shine. FTGI is hoping to raise enough money between the ball and silent auction to provide the SHINE program to more than 270 teens.
