One Deputy Sheriff from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has a soft spot for the adoptable felines at Cat Depot.
Recently, the officer responded to a call that one of the organization’s donation cans, set up at a local business, was stolen. The can was estimated to hold approximately $50 for the cat adoption center’s rescue efforts and veterinary center.
Earlier this week, he visited Cat Depot to deliver a personal check equal to the stolen amount. Despite efforts, the perpetrator has yet to be identified.
Cat Depot is grateful for the Deputy Sheriff’s thoughtful gesture this holiday season.
