ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (Dec. 16, 2016) – Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center for technology businesses, will hold its January 2017 TECH Talk program on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 8:30 a.m. at Microsoft Headquarters office, 5426 Bay Center Dr., Suite 700, Tampa.
The program, “Understanding the Connection between Personal Credit and Your Startup” will be presented by Renz Kuipers, vice president, commercial banking; and Lisa Keeney, vice president, financial wellness, both with Regions Bank. During their presentation, they will review business startup and cash flow concepts and what matters to banks. They will examine credit reports, how personal credit is intertwined with business credit and how entrepreneurs can best manage their credit score to improve the likelihood of obtaining credit in the early stages of a business.
Kuipers focuses his banking practice at Regions Bank on technology companies. Previously, after 10 years in commercial banking, he had left commercial banking to start an ecommerce company, growing from a small Los Angeles-based operation to more than 3,000 clients across the country. He later sold the company and cofounded Carvoyant to help developers and businesses tap into the potential of the connected car using a connected car API platform.
Keeney, a banking professional of 11 years, has focused on financial education in the community for the past two years. Her passion for financial education drives her to help build stronger communities and help change people’s lives by providing needs-based guidance and perspective on relevant financial topics.
Presented by Tampa Bay Innovation Center, TECH Talk is the area’s premier networking and education event developed specifically to meet the interests of the local technology community.
